Grassroots organizers nationwide are mobilizing for HANDS OFF, a day of action on April 5th in response to the alarming policies and decisions coming from the federal government.
Now is the time for us to stand up and make our voices heard. We are calling on all members of our Democratic Town Committee to take part in this effort—whether by attending rallies or amplifying our message online and in our community. Our collective action is crucial to defending democracy, protecting our rights, and pushing back against harmful policies.

9-10am – Peaceful sign-waving rally on the sidewalks in front of Deep River Town Hall.
10-11am – Hands Off! Middletown, register for more information.
11am – 1pm – Hands Off! New London at the New London Superior Court
12-1:30pm – Hands Off! New Haven on the New Haven Town Green
3-6pm – Hands Off! Hartford at the Connecticut State Capitol.

On January 6, 2022, the KDTC held a caucus at the Killingworth Library to elect members of the committee.
We were pleased to welcome seven new members to the committee, in addition to a number of returning members.
Are you opposed to Trumpcare?
Now is the time to take action! Submit a public comment to the Department of Health and Human Services.
The timing could not be more urgent – this public comment period coincides with Senate Republicans’ secretive efforts to end Medicaid and steal health care from millions in order to give a tax break to millionaires. Every comment helps make it clear that opposition to Trumpcare is simply overwhelming and emerging everywhere possible.

“The Affordable Care Act has saved countless lives and improved the lives of millions – removing lifetime caps, expanding access to Medicaid, lowering costs, protecting people with pre-existing conditions and making sure millions of people get health care. Trumpcare and Republican plans for ‘repeal’ would actually steal health care from at least 22 million in order to give a huge tax cut to millionaires. That is immoral and unfair.”
The Killingworth Democratic Town Committee will join Sen. Chris Murphy’s Fight Back Connecticut initiative, which includes with organizing meetings across the state on Sunday, May 21, 2017. Sen. Murphy’s talk will be live-streamed and we’re hosting a viewing party from 2-4pm in the Killingworth Library.
This is going to be big! It’s the first step toward building the largest peer-to-peer voter contact machine our state has ever seen. Thousands of people have signed up to join.
